INTERVIEW with ALONZO

We had the opportunity to get to know the incredible artist known as, Alonzo a little more.

Alonzo, please tell us a bit more about your new music and when we can expect to hear it! Release dates?

As I get to know my music I’m realizing its so unpredictable. This is what makes my gift so powerful. It cannot be put in a box and cannot be contained. All I can say is expect music from my heart. Rock, Soul, Funk, Pop and everything in between. Release dates are approaching sooner than the fans think 😉

Where are you from and where are you located now?

I was born in Chicago, IL. Raised in Rockford, IL and currently residing in Los Angeles, CA

When did you know music was going to be your passion?

Music has been in my life since I can remember. My grandfather was a Musician. I remember the first time I stepped into his recording studio I had to be 5 or 6 years old. All I know is that it was my favorite place to be every time I went to my grandfather’s house.

What memorable responses have you had from your audiences in your career so far?

I think one of my favorite moments was a night when I came off stage at The Viper Room in LA. There was a really macho buff guy, he taps me on the shoulder and gives me the biggest hug. He then says “Dude as you can probably assume I’m not the type of guy that cries, but that really just touched me”

This type of response really touches my heart because my goal is always to make people FEEL something. Especially those who don’t allow themselves to FEEL often.

What would be your dream musical TOUR to go on?

My dream tour is a headlining WORLD Stadium tour with an unlimited budget for the production. I do believe this tour will come one day and this tour will break records and make history.

How do you see the future of independent music?

The future of independent music is brighter than its ever been. Social Media has literally changed the music business. I can only imagine that independent artists will at some point take over the music business. I truly hope that labels take note of this and bring their values back to what they use to be: TALENT

What are you most looking forward to in the rest of 2019?

I’m so excited to finally start releasing my original music. I’m also looking forward to shooting my music videos and finally being able to display my gift on a lager scale. Hopefully by the end of 2019, I can secure an opener slot on a tour with a big name (Speaking it into existence).
