Country Music’s Party of the Year just got bigger with music superstars and Katy Perry added to the epic line-up of performers taking the stage at the 51ST ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS!
Katy Perry will team-up with Dolly Parton at this year’s Academy of Country Music Awards. This can’t-miss duet will mark their first-ever live performance together.
The 51st Academy Of Country Music Awards, co-hosted by Luke Bryan and Dierks Bentley, is produced for television by dick clark productions and will be broadcast live from MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Sunday, April 3 at 8:00PM live ET/delayed PT on the CBS Television Network.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, country icon Parton said they might also work on other tracks.
She said: “We might even merge that (‘Coat of Many Colors’) and do a little bit of ‘Jolene’, too.
“We might kinda do some of both songs, ’cause I’m actually going to do a movie of the week on ‘Jolene’, as well.
“Katy’s wanting to do ‘Jolene’, too. So, I said: ‘Well, we’ll see what we can do to kinda put the two together’.”
Parton will also receive the Tex Ritter Award at the ceremony.
