New Music: José Lucas “CLOSE TO You “

Started his musical career as a classical guitarist with a masters degree at The Royal College of Music, Stockholm before changing direction to be an artist, songwriter and producer.

With cuts in Belgium, UK, and USA to various artists including Pitbull, he finally found his call: guitarbased deep tropical house.

First single “If It Weren’t For Love”(WMG), released in february 2017 was charted in Europe, Asia and South/North America hitting #1 in Austria.

He also released an official remix of James Blunts single “Love Me Better”(Atlantic UK) and 2nd single “Count On Me”(Sony Music Entertainment Poland).

“Close To You “ is what deep house is all about; intricate, soulful, and mesmerising. The other main driving factor of this song is the voice. We first hear it in an interlude about halfway through, an extremely deep and moving vocal which can be interpreted in a variety of ways.

That is the beauty of deep house and this song; the lyrics are deep and meaningful and have a purpose and a place, whereas in some other forms of dance music, the lyrics can seem pointless and soulless. It is a triumph of a track that shows what deep house is all about.
